Amy McKinnon, Jo Dalgety and Susan Thomas met in 2008 and share studio space in Auckland. Their work, although distinctive, shares narratives of memory, place, displacement, survival and kinship.

Jo Dalgety's paintings evoke the life that has been lived in a space. She looks to land that thousands have walked. Her work represents memories of footsteps, past and present - layer upon layer of human history. Dalgety tries to capture the essence of places and the tides of history that have washed over them, something tangible yet elusive.
